Yesterday afternoon, reporters visiting Wanlong Ski Resort in Chongli County saw that the parking lot was already full. “It was packed before noon,” said a parking attendant.
Reporters learned from Wanlong Ski Resort that since the heavy snowfall coincided with the weekend, it created great conditions for weekend skiing. “Skiers flocked in as soon as the resort opened. To ensure no snow on the road uphill, we started clearing the pathways as early as four or five in the morning to guarantee visitor safety,” said an on-site staff member.

For example, 120 SUFAG snow cannons imported from Austria were added to create powder-like snow, allowing everyone to ski on naturally soft powder anytime. Two new snow groomers were added to maintain snow quality on the slopes this winter. An additional slope called Xianglong Trail — or "Maogo Trail" — was also added. Moreover, 600 top-tier ski boards from six different brands were introduced, along with nearly 400 new instructors.
Parking and dining are also concerns for many visitors. Reporters learned on-site that the number of resting seats for visitors increased by 2,000 this year, and the second-floor restaurant added 1,500 more seats.
