On November 6, the first sharing session of Ride the Sky Road – VAUDE 318 Sichuan-Tibet Extreme Cycling Race was held at VAUDE’s flagship store in Guangzhou. Seven participants of Ride the Sky Road, numerous staff members who had experienced the event, and nearly a hundred cycling enthusiasts came to the scene.
The "veterans" attending this sharing session were mainly from the "Guangzhou Gang," including Wang Yongjian, Li Zhengwei, Zhu Ronghua, Wei Junpeng, Liu Shipo, and Zhang Nuo. Huang Huan, the "veteran" from Huizhou, and Ji Tianpeng, the "tall, rich, and handsome" judge of the race, also made a long journey to participate in the session, bringing pleasant surprises to the event.
Ride the Sky Road has a very broad fan base, and you could always see fans of all age groups at the scene. But the most dedicated fans were VAUDE General Manager Mr. Zhong, who not only volunteered at the event but also stayed until the very end of the sharing session before leaving.
The sharing session was hosted by Ms. Cheng, the media director of Ride the Sky Road. Through dialogues and conversations with the riders, the audience gained a deeper understanding of the race and developed even greater admiration for the cyclists.
With video clips and photos shown one after another, the riders were often filled with emotion. The 10-day race may have been short, but the camaraderie forged during those 10 days of battling side by side is something worth cherishing for a lifetime. That evening, the speakers on stage shared openly and passionately, while the audience listened with rapt attention.
When the host asked Bozi, "What is the biggest feeling Ride the Sky Road has given you? Or how would you summarize Ride the Sky Road in one sentence?" Bozi replied: "Ride the Sky Road is the kind of race you can talk about for a lifetime after riding it just once." As soon as he finished, the whole room erupted in applause.
This might be an emotion that we can’t fully understand, but the enthusiasm of the audience was something we could clearly see. That night, in every corner of the VAUDE flagship store, they were the absolute stars.
