A mountain lifestyle "dancing with nature" — Taiwu Ski Resort is here for quality vacations only
As November arrives, Beijing has welcomed its first snowfall of the winter. This "forceful" initial snowfall is of great significance: not only is it the first snow after Beijing successfully secured the Olympic bid, but it also marks the official start of the 2015 Beijing skiing season, stirring up enthusiasm among citizens for ski trips. In recent years, skiing has gained immense popularity. With the 2022 Winter Olympics hosting rights awarded to Beijing, this historic achievement has elevated China’s winter sports industry to new heights. The "Olympic City" Beijing, together with Zhangjiakou, has entered a seven-year "Olympic cycle," and Chongli, the Zhangjiakou venue for the Winter Olympics, has stepped into the international spotlight. In the first skiing season following the successful Olympic bid, the Taiwu Ski Resort ski area, nestled under the Olympic spotlight, will begin trial operations on December 15, offering skiing enthusiasts an early taste of the "beauty of the Olympics."

Speech by Bai Yinhai, County Chief of Chongli
Comprehensive ski slope advantages lead to success at every step
Taiwu Ski Resort boasts the highest peak in Chongli at 2,160 meters, a finish elevation of 1,650 meters, a vertical drop of 510 meters, a slope length of 2,032 meters, an average gradient of 25.50%, a maximum gradient of 51.20%, and a minimum gradient of 4.71%. It is equipped with a French POMA high-speed eight-person gondola lift and an American SMI fully automatic snowmaking system.
The main ski runs fully comply with the technical requirements for women’s downhill, men’s and women’s super-G, men’s and women’s giant slalom, men’s and women’s slalom, and the alpine combined events as stipulated by the International Ski Federation.
Taiwu Ski Resort is planned to develop nearly 200 ski runs with a total length of 138 kilometers, with a ratio of beginner, intermediate, and advanced runs at 3:4:3. The first phase of development has completed 20 kilometers of ski runs, 28 runs covering a total snowmaking area of 720,000 square meters, 4 chairlifts, and 11 magic carpets.
In addition, the resort has planned a variety of colorful, thrilling, and fun snow activities. Alongside offerings such as snowmobiles, extreme skiing, and cross-country skiing, there is also a dedicated large tubing area and children's snow park with its own magic carpet, providing kids with more space to play. These diverse and entertaining snow activities add more joy to skiing for both adults and children, making Taiwu Ski Resort an ideal destination for family or group leisure and recreation.
One-stop coverage of mountain living
Taiwu Ski Resort not only offers winter snow activities, but its core project is to build a true mountain vacation lifestyle — allowing children to freely express their nature in the resort playground, enabling elders to enjoy the natural scenery of a "natural oxygen bar," and giving young people a place to gather, laugh, and talk about the future.
In addition, Taiwu Ski Resort also hosts a rich variety of cultural activities. The resort will periodically hold distinctive music festivals, film festivals, art festivals, outdoor performances, food festivals, and other exciting mountain cultural events, fully unleashing the boundless energy of "mountain living." In the non-snow season, extreme sports loved by thrill-seekers such as mountain biking, go-karting, alpine zip-lining, and rock climbing, as well as more tranquil outdoor activities closer to nature such as forest hiking, camping, and horseback riding, are all expected to open to the public next year.
"Let life slow down and be joyful" is the founding philosophy of Taiwu Ski Resort. Under the blue northern sky, enjoy high concentrations of negative ions; amidst the mountains and dense forests, listen to the gentle whispers of nature; under the blazing and radiant sunshine, feel the joy drawn out by time — this is the living scene that Taiwu Ski Resort carefully creates. With top-tier planning presented by world-class teams, distinctive ski slope advantages, and a newly defined mountain lifestyle, Taiwu Ski Resort hopes to offer urban dwellers caught in the fast pace a chance to vacation at a different rhythm, truly slowing life down, just a little more...
