The Pathfinder Hundred-Runner Team Won the 2015 Dunhuang Marathon

Today, the inaugural 2015 Dunhuang Silk Road International Friendship Marathon kicked off at Mingsha Mountain Square. The Pathfinder Hundred-Runner Team actively participated in the event. They ran vigorously, dared to surpass themselves, and traversed the Gobi Desert. In the end...the "Half-Marathon Prince" representing PathfinderLi Wei won the championship in the half marathon, while Ama Akhan took third place in the full marathon. The inaugural Dunhuang Silk Road International Friendship Marathon was jointly organized by the Gansu Provincial Sports Bureau, the Gansu Provincial Tourism Bureau, the Chinese Athletics Association, the Dunhuang Municipal People's Government,GansuDunhuang Silk Road Marathon Event Management Co., Ltd. The event pioneered high-end customized marathon tourism, integrating the race, tourism, culture, and adventure, and also introduced a variety of supporting activities such as the Marathon Runners' Night and the China Highway Music Festival.

as the Pathfinder Hundred-Runner Team, organized by Pathfinder, ran vigorously. In the end, Li Wei won the half-marathon championship. Li Wei, 26 years old this year, is a retired professional marathon athlete known as the "Half-Marathon Prince." His personal best in the full marathon is also 2 hours and 17 minutes. Since retiring last September, Li Wei has participated in dozens of races, winning more than 10 championships and often leading professional marathon runners.

Today, Li Wei completed the half marathon in11 hour and 6 minutes, winning the championship once again. He said, "I’ve never feared anyone on the race track, no matter how strong and unbeatable they may seem."

In addition, Amaand Akhan from the Pathfinder running teamwon third place in the full marathon.
