Our report (by reporter Gai Xingfu) states that this year’s skiing season is expected to arrive earlier than in previous years. Before the onset of winter, scenic spots within the provincial capital city cluster economic zone spontaneously “paired up” to form “ski + hot spring” combinations, actively seeking nearby tourists.

On November 14, the “2015 Jiudingta Chinese Folk Culture Park Travel Agency Appreciation Meeting and Ski Promotion Conference” was held at the scenic area. Over 200 travel agencies from 19 cities inside and outside the province gathered to share more than one million yuan in annual bonuses provided by the Jiudingta scenic area. The meeting also introduced this winter’s ski discount policies, and several well-known domestic travel agencies signed winter ski agreements with Jiudingta on-site.

Pang Chao, general manager of Jiudingta Scenic Area, said that this year’s 12th Ski Festival is expected to start earlier than in previous years. The resort conducted major maintenance and repairs on its ski slopes as early as October, and safety and stability measures were taken for surrounding support facilities. “This year, we have added two new snowmaking machines imported from Italy. Together with our existing equipment, we can ensure that the ski slopes are ready overnight as long as temperatures permit.”

At the appreciation meeting, the person in charge of Dezhou Guoke Hot Spring Scenic Area, a partner of Jiudingta, gave a presentation. The collaboration between this hot spring resort and Jiudingta Ski Resort formed spontaneously and, after several years of cooperation, has resulted in a competitive ski + hot spring route package targeting external markets.

It is reported that this year the ski resort will change its traditional time-segmented pricing model and implement an “all-day, unlimited-time skiing” policy, which represents a genuine price benefit for visitors.
