Will the Tigerair brand disappear? According toforeign mediareports,Singapore Airlines' low-cost carriers Tigerair and Scoot officially announced on the 4th that they intend to continue operations under the Scoot brand in the future, merging into a single-brand airline, with details to be announced by the airline in the coming months.
According tochannelnewsasiareports, Singapore Airlines' Chief Executive Officer Goh Choon Phong stated that the merger of Tigerair and Scoot will have a positive impact and growth opportunities for both in terms of commercial collaboration and future operational directions. In the future, it will also offer more destination choices and a more comfortable and seamless flying experience. Currently operating Scoot and Tigerair flights and bookings will not be affected by this announcement. After Scoot and Tigerair complete this plan, passengers who have booked Tigerair tickets will receive a new Scoot booking confirmation and updated flight numbers.

Tigerair was the first low-cost carrier based at Singapore Changi Airport, serving destinations within a 5-hour radius of Singapore, such as Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, India, and Australia. Scoot operates flights between Singapore and countries such as China, Japan, and Australia, and is a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines.
