Today I’m going to talk about “Thailand.” I’ve heard that Thailand is a shopping paradise, where most products are of good quality and reasonably priced. Nowadays, Thai products are very popular among us Chinese. You can find them on Taobao, Tmall, or JD.com—you can buy great Thai products without even buying a plane ticket to Thailand.
What are some of the best products to buy in Thailand? Let’s take a look at the ones I personally think are worth getting. I believe they’re all high-quality and good value, and are my personal favorites.
1. Snake Brand Prickly Heat Powder
This powder can be used by men, women, children, and the elderly. Thai Snake Brand Prickly Heat Powder is a baby product specially designed for children suffering from heat rash. Since Thailand’s weather is very hot, applying Snake Brand powder after a bath during the hot summer makes you feel cool once the wind blows, and the fragrance is delightful—I especially like the rose scent, which is fragrant and cooling.
It’s recommended for summer use—really great!
2. Golden Cup Oil
This ointment is something I use every day. I carry it with me wherever I go. I really love the herbal and minty scent of this ointment, so although I’ve tried many brands, I personally think this one is the best. Golden Cup Oil is a quite famous ointment brand in Thailand, and my whole family uses it—it’s a miracle ointment with many uses. It helps with muscle soreness, headaches, colds and nasal congestion, and insect bites. Just apply it once or twice to see results, and it relieves itching. Whenever I get mosquito bites, I immediately put on Golden Cup Oil.
This is my third bottle. The whole family uses it, so I bought the large size. Hahaha.
Besides the glass bottle, I also got the metal tin—it’s very convenient to carry when traveling. I really love Thai Golden Cup Oil. I think it’s much better than the green herbal ointment. You should try it and see if you agree with me!
3. Ray Face Masks
The face masks recommended by Fan Bingbing must be great, right? I saw lots of ads and articles recommending these masks, so I bought them to try. Wow wow wow—the effect is really amazing. The mask sheets are super thin and feel incredibly soft and well-fitted on the face—you can barely tell you’re wearing a mask. There's also plenty of essence. You’ll see results after using just 2–3 times. These are my current favorite face masks.
The gold version brightens, treats acne, fades spots, and firms skin. The silver version intensely hydrates and tightens pores. Their packaging looks luxurious and can be brought back as a souvenir. But the price is a bit high.
4. Yanhee Acne Cream
I’m currently using Thai Yanhee Acne Cream. It’s really super effective—red and swollen pimples disappear in two or three days, and the closed comedones on my forehead have completely vanished. I also often get pimples around my mouth, but they clear up after applying this cream. Aside from the unpleasant smell, there are no downsides. I personally think it works even better than the Japanese Lion King Acne Cream.
5. Smooth E Acne Scar Cream
Smooth E is a very popular Thai cosmeceutical brand. I previously used their facial cleanser and found it quite good and effective. So I wanted to try this acne scar cream. After using it for a month, my acne scars have indeed faded significantly—the smaller ones are barely noticeable unless you look closely. I’m quite satisfied with the results.
6. Double Elephant Toothpaste
This is a local Thai brand. The toothpaste has a grayish-black paste and a herbal scent. I really like it. I recommend everyone give it a try—it works well and is affordable. It helps prevent gum bleeding, oral ulcers, and tooth sensitivity, while also relieving periodontitis, swollen gums, and gum recession. For oral issues, it significantly removes plaque, nicotine stains, tea stains, and coffee stains. It eliminates bad breath and keeps your breath fresh for a long time. With continuous use for 2 weeks, the improvement is noticeable.
It might feel unfamiliar at first, but many people say they grow to love the taste after using it once or twice.
7. BSC Shampoo
I’ve heard Thai herbal shampoos are also quite famous. After doing some online research, I found the most well-known Thai shampoo. I’ve been using it for a month and am really satisfied with the results—I can already see tiny new hairs growing, and hair loss has improved. The scent is lemongrass, not greasy at all, and quite pleasant.
