In the mountains, there is such a group of hikers — a long-form documentary series

To gain a deeper understanding of their stories, I must meet them face to face, which requires some time and opportunity.

     Throughout my personal outdoor experiences, I have encountered many admirable and respectable people, as well as many remarkable individuals.

   

   However, the people I want to talk about in this article are those who not only command my admiration but also inspire me to share their stories.

   

    They are extremely ordinary, just like you and me — busy making a living, caring for their families, and pursuing their careers every day.

    Yet, they are also extremely extraordinary.

    Their extraordinariness lies in the fact that, aside from the usual reasons people engage in outdoor activities, they have one clearer goal — cleaning up the mountains.

    What’s even more commendable is that, in striving toward this goal, they do so quietly.

    By a very chance encounter, I got to know these people. When one of them showed me some photos, my only reaction was shock. I couldn’t imagine that among us, among the thousands of friends we call hikers, there really are such people.

    Gradually, I got to know more of them.

    Slowly, I learned more of their stories.

    Through this subtle process, my emotions shifted from shock to being moved, mixed with excitement.

    I don’t know how many chapters this article will have.

    I also don’t know if I have the ability to present their stories to people in a more comprehensive way.

    But I’ve still decided to give it a try.

    Even if I can just make people remember their names, I will feel at peace with every outdoor trip I take.
