Students from 20 universities including Jilin University, Northeast Normal University, Jilin Sport University, and Changchun Guanghua University will take part in this training, and outstanding students may also have the opportunity to compete in the opening ceremony race of the “2016 Jingyuetan Vasaloppet International Ski Festival.”
As one of the important series of events of the Vasaloppet International Ski Festival, the university cross-country skiing training has been held continuously for many years among universities in Changchun. It provides cross-country skiing training for university students and skiing enthusiasts, popularizing and promoting the sport of cross-country skiing, and sparking a nationwide enthusiasm for learning to ski. Since 2005, the Jingyuetan Scenic Area has collaborated with the Jilin Provincial Department of Education to launch the first cross-country skiing training session. To date, approximately 500,000 students have participated in the skiing training activities, experiencing the endless joy brought by cross-country skiing.
Currently, the Jingyuetan Cross-Country Skiing Area has officially opened to the public. The ticket price for cross-country skiing is 30 RMB per person for admission and 50 RMB for two hours of skiing. Holders of the Jingyuetan individual annual pass and hiking annual pass can enjoy a special rate of 10 RMB for two hours of skiing.
