Ten people and one dog, enduring eleven days, traversed the uninhabited north Tibet region, and finally returned safely to civilization.Putting down these dry words, I’m not sure what else to say. For 11 days, we stuck together through life and death. We shared joy and pain. The weather was unbearably cold; the road was beyond description in its roughness.
No showers, no changing clothes, meals smelled of gasoline, and water tasted of salt and alkali. But every day brought laughter, surprises, and discoveries. If I had to describe this experience in the simplest terms, I’d say life in the uninhabited zone is nothing like normal life — but experiencing it even once in a lifetime is absolutely worth it.
I really regret not having learned essay writing better as a kid — I can’t describe the thrilling things we went through with equally thrilling words. Fortunately, all the photos will remind me of the scenes and take me back to those unforgettable days.
