Haizi (Mountain Lakes). The shimmering haizi, set against the azure sky, are especially spectacular. The sense of accomplishment from crossing the mountain pass is amplified by the snow-capped peaks looming nearby, delivering an unprecedented sense of awe. Grass Sea is a classic highland wetland. Though smaller in area than the Grass Sea in Ruoergai, its purity and primitiveness stir your heart involuntarily. Hongxing Haizi is even more enchanting: the snow-capped mountains visible overhead, the silent forests, and the green lakes are all utterly intoxicating.The best time to visit Qicanggou is from June to October each year. In June, alpine azaleas are in full bloom, radiant as rosy clouds. By October, the hills are covered in golden hues, dazzling and magnificent.
