2Month19Day, the “2016KAILAS Camping Festival” held at Yingde Xianhu ignited the first spark of enthusiasm at the start of the new year. The hardworking KAILAS team went all out with outdoor activities on this day. The camping festival featured a wide range of exciting events including mountain running challenges, tea garden hikes, mountain camping experiences, and joyful group games—Partyfull of heart, authenticity, and unrestrained fun. It showcased a vibrant side of the team beyond their usual professionalism and dedication at work.
At2PM, the “KAILAS Mountain Running Race,” as the opening event of the “2016KAILAS Camping Festival,” officially kicked off at Xianhu Black Tea Valley.,200More than a hundred employees signed up for the mountain running race. The event was divided into a12-kilometer challenge group and a4.5-kilometer experience group, with a time limit of3hours. The challenge group faced a cumulative elevation gain of500meters.
The KAILAS team is full of hidden talents, including many skilled mountain runners. Teams of KAILAS employees have participated in extreme races such as the Hong Kong 100, the Round Four Girls Mountain Trail Run, and the 800 Miles Ultra. Although light rain fell during the race, it didn’t dampen the runners’ spirits. Participants said that mountain running inherently involves adapting to changing environments and terrains, and the rugged, muddy trails along with sudden wind and rain only added to the challenge and fun. It was also a great opportunity to test the performance of KAILAS gear.
The event unfolded in a harmonious and friendly atmosphere. Everyone looked out for one another and pushed forward together—winning wasn’t the focus, participation was what mattered most.

Beyond the energizing mountain runs, participants could also embrace nature, enjoy the rustic charm of the tea gardens along the race routes, breathe in the freshest air, listen to the sound of streams and small bridges, sing praises of a secluded life. The rolling green tea plantations stretched endlessly under the sky. Hiking here, indulging in the landscape, retreating to pastoral simplicity, becoming a carefree traveler or even a hermit for a day—it was sheer bliss.
As night fell, the official annual meeting began. Even though light rain started to fall, it couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the KAILAS team. The employee-created performances were spectacular: cool biking stunts, dance routines, skits, guitar solos… All performed with genuine effort and raw authenticity, full of highlights and laughs. Each round of the lucky draw offered not only abundant and appealing prizes but also items highly suited to the tastes of the outdoorsy staff: DJI drones, Dahon bicycles, KAILAS products, and more—perfect companions for any outdoor adventure.
The magnificent campsite area turned into a starry night sky, with the brightest stars forming a colorful Milky Way above. After the evening gala, everyone gathered in their respective tent areas, sitting on the ground, brewing coffee, popping open red wine and champagne, and playing games. In nature, human connections felt especially relaxed and easygoing.
Waking up in the morning to sunlight and the fresh scent of plants, strolling through emerald-green rapeseed fields amid the morning mist and butterflies dancing around, you feel refreshed and carefree. After packing up the tents, everyone boils tea, sings, and continues the joy from the night before. This was a truly special annual meeting, where relationships among employees grew much closer and more united through a series of outdoor activities, greatly enhancing the overall team cohesion. Some remarked that it was the most unforgettable company annual meeting they had ever attended.
