Mr. Yang Baoli has nearly 10 years of experience in capital market research and investment, along with 4 years of experience in investment and financing management for large listed companies.

He joined JD Finance in 2014, where he was responsible for building and operating the JD Finance Crowdfunding Research Institute. His previous work experience covers investment and financing in both primary and secondary markets, as well as the M&A departments of large listed companies. He has extensive experience in investment, financing, research, and management, with deep insights into investment strategies, industry research, and project selection.

Baoli Bolly says:

The intensification of Internet business models has heightened the caution of investment institutions during market downturns. Today, Internet companies’ business models are becoming increasingly radical, especially following the O2O boom. Many startups struggle to achieve financial balance and mostly rely on VC funding to survive.

Overall, interest rates are likely to trend downward in the future, reducing the appeal of fixed-income asset allocations. In this context, increasing equity allocations is an inevitable trend, and equities benefit the most from reforms and transformations.

We conducted extensive data analysis and research and discovered an interesting phenomenon: funds invested during downturns yield an average return multiple that is 2–3 times higher than those invested during peak periods.

This interesting phenomenon indicates that during downturns, most investors shift from their usual scattergun approach during booms to a more selective process, choosing only the best projects. Additionally, project valuations are lower, resulting in higher average returns on investment.
