As a result, environmental issues in outdoor areas have become increasingly prominent, posing a serious threat to the fragile ecological environment: vegetation has been damaged, animals have migrated over wide areas, pollution is severe, litter is everywhere, and the water quality of many sources has deteriorated.……Trash can be picked up after being thrown away, but once the environment is damaged, it is very difficult to restore.
As outdoor sports enthusiasts who love nature and the landscape, we should do our utmost to raise social awareness of environmental protection and natural ecology through our own actions, and foster a sense of healthy, eco-friendly, and green travel among people. Protect nature and treat it kindly. The "Water-Purifying Bird" refers to a small bird living by the shores of Er'ye Sea and Da'ye Sea in the Qinling Mountains. It has a black back, a red belly, a red tail, and a white head. Its scientific name is the White-capped Water Redstart, but locals call it“the Water-Purifying Child”“or simply”the Water-Purifying Bird.“Some even regard it as”a divine bird. Legend says it is the incarnation of a beautiful, kind, and pure fairy. By nature, it abhors any impurity and will use its beak and claws to remove leaves, fruit peels, and other debris floating on the lake surface until the water becomes pristine again—only then does it quietly leave.……
Because its behavior aligns with our environmental protection ideals, we have named this campaign after it. The Water-Purifying Bird activity organizes volunteers annually to conduct environmental protection efforts such as garbage collection at the Taibai Mountain, the main peak of the Qinling range.
Protecting the entire natural world and the ecosystem ultimately means protecting humanity itself. Advocating and establishing harmony between humans and nature reflects the greatest virtue of mankind. Let us protect nature together, treat it with care, and allow humans and nature to coexist, thrive, and flourish together.
After more than ten years of perseverance and effort, it has now become a nationally recognized large-scale public welfare and environmental protection campaign acknowledged by government departments and the public media.“The Water-Purifying Bird”environmental volunteers have reached all seventy-two valleys of the Qinling Mountains.
