On July 9, 2016, the Youth Outdoor Parent-Child Summer Camp by the Chinese Mountaineering Association at Badaling Great Wall grandly commenced. A total of 31 children signed up for the first session and had a joyful and unforgettable summer camp experience.
"Children usually live in cities and rarely have the chance to be close to nature. Some don’t even know what a starry sky looks like, which means their childhood lacks a lot of joy. Through activities such as rock climbing experiences, vineyard tours, and educational workshops, we help children escape the hustle and bustle of the city and immerse themselves in the embrace of nature, fully enjoying the fun brought by outdoor life. At the same time, this kind of activity also brings my child and me closer together, allowing me to understand him better," said one parent who participated in the summer camp.
This summer camp was guided by the Youth Committee of the Chinese Mountaineering Association, co-organized by Badaling Tourism Corporation, Badaling World Grape Expo Park, and Badaling Ancient Great Wall, and exclusively operated by Shizhi Sports. The Chinese Mountaineering Association is the only national organization in the People's Republic of China that organizes, manages, and promotes mountaineering activities. Since its establishment, it has organized numerous high-altitude exploration events and mass fitness activities of significant domestic and international influence.
