From July 13 to 16, the global outdoor industry's attention turned to Friedrichshafen, Germany, where the 23rd European Outdoor Show was held. EOG (European Outdoor Group), the partner of the European Outdoor Show, stated that the development of the outdoor industry in 2015 was satisfactory. 85% of its member companies reported increased sales, with over half achieving growth of more than 2.5%. These positive results laid a solid foundation for the 23rd edition — this year’s show attracted over 900 exhibitors from more than 40 countries, presenting the latest technological innovations and guiding the future trends of the outdoor industry.

This year, the 11th European Outdoor Awards attracted 343 entries, with 37 products making the final cut. The awards ceremony will take place at 17:30 (German time) on July 13. On the evening of July 15, the European Outdoor Show and EOG will also jointly launch the “European Outdoor Honors” for the first time.
Organized in collaboration with EOG, the European Outdoor Show forums and conferences will serve as a platform for exchanging ideas, discussing industry prospects, and addressing current topics. This year, around 40 sessions will be held on-site, covering hot topics such as digitalization, retail, sustainability, and future trends and changes.
The European Outdoor Show has also partnered with Outdoor Bloggers to create an international exchange platform aimed at promoting the digital transformation of leading companies in the outdoor industry. Daily discussions during the show will include targeted content presentations, panel discussions, and travel reports, offering industry professionals a window into the wider world.
Other activities at the show are also highly anticipated: the running zone brings together numerous international sports brands, showcasing their latest technologies and innovations while hosting speeches and seminars. On July 15, the German Alpine Club will invite climbers to compete in speed climbing and bouldering challenges on-site. On the evening of July 15, an outdoor-themed European Outdoor Show party will take place simultaneously in three zones. Additionally, a team including trend scouts, designers, bloggers, and fashion enthusiasts will demonstrate how elements such as materials, color palettes, textures, styles, and trends can be integrated with outdoor products, helping attendees gain insight into the latest international outdoor market trends.
