Over the past eleven years, the Humanities Scientific Expedition Team of China Agricultural University Fengyun Society has set foot in one city and ten counties across Tibet. What began as a small social practice group traveling to Tibet has now evolved into a full-fledged humanities scientific expedition team. Eleven years of trials and growth have shaped the team into what it is today. With the same dreams but different dream-chasers, after eleven years of perseverance, they are now ready to set off with their aspirations to the distant and pristine holy land of Tibet. Together, they head westward to fulfill the twelfth-year promise.
At 10:00 AM on July 20, 2016, the launch ceremony for the Humanities Scientific Expedition Team, Animaqing Mountaineering Team, and Big Climb Team of China Agricultural University Fengyun Society was successfully held in the training room on the third floor of Gongzhupu Building. Participants included members of the mountaineering and scientific expedition teams, contestants of the Big Climb competition, sponsor representatives, media representatives, members of the Yunyou Club, and delegates from fellow societies.
The meeting began with hosts Zhu Yi (a 2016 Humanities Scientific Expedition team member) and Lou Kaihao (a 2016 Animaqing Mountaineering team member) announcing the start of the summer team launch ceremony. First, everyone stood up to sing the society’s anthem, “Song of Fengyun.” Then, the Humanities Scientific Expedition Team, Mountaineering Team, and Rock Climbing Team introduced their summer activities and preparation status through videos and speeches by their respective team captains.
