Apart from the well-known Himalayan trekking routes in Tibet and Nepal, there is also a world-renowned top-tier glacier trek in Pakistan’s Karakoram region: the K2 Base Camp via the Baltoro Glacier.
On the seventh day, we headed to the K2 Base Camp and returned to Concordia. Here, all team members, porters, and guides, dressed in TFO’s professional gear, took a precious commemorative group photo with K2 in the background.
On the eighth day, we crossed from Concordia to Goro Camp and then returned to Urdu.
On the ninth day, we retraced our steps from Urdukas back to Paiju Camp, bidding farewell to the unforgettable Baltoro Glacier.
On the tenth and eleventh days, after two days of hiking followed by a jeep ride, we returned to Skardu. The entire team then headed back to Islamabad, successfully completing the premier trekking route — the K2 Base Camp and Baltoro Glacier hike.
