The Rio Olympics may be over, but the enthusiasm for sports across the nation remains undiminished. What is the coolest, most cutting-edge, and most comprehensive test of physical ability today? Without a doubt, the “triathlon,” a sport that gets your adrenaline pumping just hearing about it, is the top choice. In the United States alone, over 480,000 people participate in triathlon events, and globally, there are more than a thousand various triathlon competitions held every year. Now, the first “EMBA Triathlon Challenge” has attracted 80 future business elites from institutions such as Renmin University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and National Taiwan University, all gathering in Taiwan to take on mountains and seas together.

The most appealing aspect of the triathlon is its intimate connection with nature. While interactions between humans and landscapes often stop at admiration from afar, the most breathtaking scenery is ultimately reserved for brave explorers. Starting on September 3rd, over the course of a four-day competition, the participants of the first “EMBA Triathlon Challenge” will swim across Taiwan’s most dreamlike Sun Moon Lake, cycle up to Wuling—the highest point on Taiwan’s roads at 3,275 meters—and trek through the magnificent Taroko Gorge. The first “EMBA Triathlon Challenge” is organized by the Outdoor Sports Association of National Taiwan University’s EMBA program, with Samsung Galaxy Note7 serving as the special partner accompanying the event throughout. As the EMBA elites take on the three major challenges, they will carry the Note7 to swim across Sun Moon Lake, capturing water-level photos and using the S Pen for recording; wear the Gear 360 to complete the entire cycling ascent of Wuling, offering 360-degree 4K high-definition live broadcasts of the spectacular scenery; and don the Gear Fit2 during the Taroko Marathon, using S Health to track their route and performance.
