Taipei residents, cry no more — 50 Lan’s “Matcha Latte” is finally on sale, but only in 7 counties and cities

At the end of September, the chain beverage brand “50 Lan” launched a limited-edition series of matcha drinks at four stores across northern, central, and southern Taiwan, sparking a wave of queues and mad rushes to buy. Starting today, the matcha series is officially on general sale, but for now only the most popular “Matcha Latte” option is available — and you can only get it in 7 counties and cities!

50 Lan’s Matcha Latte, with its beautiful light green gradient, is instantly loved by matcha fans. It was hugely popular when first launched at the end of September, and is now officially on general sale with the added freedom to choose whether or not to add tapioca pearls.

But the Matcha Latte isn’t available nationwide — for the first wave, it’s only being sold at stores in Central Taiwan, including Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Miaoli, Taichung, Nantou, Changhua, Yunlin, Chiayi, Tainan, Penghu, and Kinmen. It’s not yet available elsewhere, so residents of Greater Taipei and the Southern Taiwan region may have to wait a bit longer.
