Ruth's Chris rumored to be on UberEATS' first wave of partners; HSH Group issues statement denying it

UberEATS officially launched its food delivery service in Taipei today (15th), with popular restaurants in the first wave of partners including Shin Yeh and Ding Wang. It was previously rumored that the steakhouse Ruth's Chris was also included, but the HSH Group today issued a special statement,clarifying that its Ruth's Chris Steak House and Medici Restaurant are currently not partnering with UberEATS nor using its delivery service.

UberEATS is already available in 14 U.S. cities as well as in Canada, Australia, France, and other locations. In Asia, its first market is Singapore. The app is very easy to use—after downloading the UberEATS app, users can place an order with just a few taps, and delicious meals will be delivered to their door. During the initial phase, there is no minimum order amount and no additional delivery fee.

Regarding the cooperation between the HSH Group’s restaurant brands and UberEATS, we hereby declare the following:

The HSH Group’s Ruth's Chris Steak House and Medici Restaurant are currently not partnering with UberEATS nor using its delivery service. This is our official statement.
