The organizing Charitable Fund of Kailongrui held the City Charity Run for the second consecutive year. The event adopted a team relay format, with each team consisting of five members jointly completing a 9-kilometer course. After fierce competition, the Shanghai Public Security Cycling & Running Association swept both the first and second places. Additionally, the BOOM team, composed of running enthusiasts from the real estate industry, won first place in the women’s team category.
Promoting a healthy lifestyle, enhancing teamwork, and advancing social philanthropy were the founding purposes of the City Charity Run. The event gathered top-tier real estate and financial enterprises from Shanghai to compete together, attracting real estate financial institutions such as Shui On Land, Standard Chartered Bank, BlackRock, and DDG.
The charitable partner of this event was the Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation. All registration fees and donations collected during the event were directly channeled through the Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation to support various social philanthropy projects. Many participating teams also supported the cause by raising funds among family and friends. Thanks to the generosity of philanthropic individuals across society, the fundraising campaign achieved remarkable success, raising nearly 200,000 RMB in just under two weeks. The donation channel remained open after the race to continue accepting contributions.
The event also featured a special mini charity marathon for children, allowing them to enjoy the joy of running and learn about healthy living. Although the course was only 1 kilometer long, children who completed the run were awarded medals and certificates full of honor. At the same time, the event encouraged kids to use their pocket money to register and take part, contributing their small share to the charitable cause.
The City Charity Run was co-organized by the Charitable Fund of Kailongrui and sponsors including Cushman & Wakefield, OrbusNeich, KBR, Colliers International, Shui On Land, Nike Sports Camp, No.5 on the Bund, AMTD Group, and Square Foot International. Mr. Zheng Ximing, Chief Executive Officer of Kailongrui Group, expressed deep gratitude to the sponsors and all sectors of society for their support of the event. The Charitable Fund of Kailongrui will continue to spread positive energy of philanthropy in healthy and active ways.
