The Harbour City Christmas light displays have officially begun – adorable little snowmen are here to throw a party

Christmas light displays are popular spots in Hong Kong where families, couples, and friends gather to celebrate. This year, Harbour City has brought everyone the cute “Little Snowmen.” From November 11, 2016, to January 2, 2017, the Ocean Terminal Open Plaza will be transformed into the “Little Snowmen” Christmas Party.

The Little Snowmen are made up of two large snowballs adorned with 32 different floral designs, giving them the appearance of adorable roly-poly toys. At the center of the open plaza stands a massive 12-meter-tall Christmas tree composed of various Little Snowmen, along with a large carousel and specially designed Christmas light trees. The entire plaza features over a hundred Little Snowmen of various sizes and designs, each hiding a “Snowman Code” numbered from 0 to 31. Visitors can search different corners of the plaza to find the “Little Snowmen” that match their unique Snowman Code.

In addition, Harbour City has partnered with the Hong Kong Leukaemia Foundation for the 15th consecutive year since 2002 to organize Christmas fundraising events. This year, they have invited Finnish illustrator Rami Niemi, hailing from Santa’s homeland, to collaborate on creating avant-garde Christmas scenes. These will be set up in the Harbour City shopping mall and the Ocean Terminal’s underground children’s area starting December 2016.
