Mr. Huang Zonghua is the founder and head coach of the Sanzhongjian Archery Club and a running coach at the International Triathlon Training Camp. In 1989, as a mischievous and hyperactive sixth grader, he was taken by his father to climb Guanyin Mountain on a sunny afternoon — an event that unexpectedly kicked off his sports career. Later, he got to know the Mountain Trail Running Club and the HASH group. He joined the track and field team in high school, where he felt he “couldn’t eat or sleep” without a daily run. Aside from his regular runs, he also participated in HASH activities on weekends. During university, he competed in the 2000 World Cup Ultra Marathon, where the 100-kilometer race became one of his proudest achievements.
