On March 5th, the “Flying Goddess Festival,” hosted by Garmin, was held in grand style, attracting over a thousand female runners from 16 running groups across the country. A unique celebration of Women’s Day unfolded simultaneously in cities nationwide. The event promoted fitness for all and encouraged women to prioritize their health, shine brightly, and be their own goddesses. To celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8th, Garmin and its sponsors also offered a wealth of prizes as special gifts for the participants.
“Flying” refers to “Fly 5,” a nod to Garmin’s newly launched multifunctional sports watch, the fenix 5. The women’s-specific fenix 5S, designed exclusively for female athletes, will be awarded as the first prize to outstanding groups and individuals. While March 8th is the traditional International Women’s Day, March 7th has come to be known as “Goddess Day.” The Flying Goddess Festival is a national running event specially organized by Garmin for female runners.
