To further promote the protection of ancient roads and put concepts like national fitness into practice, in 2017, international platforms such as the International Ancient Road Network, Green Field Network, and China National Travel Magazine joined forces to organize non-competitive, public-participation marathon events on ten of China's most distinctive ancient roads. On March 25, 2017, the 2017 China Ancient Road Marathon Jingxi Ancient Road Station officially kicked off.
