It is understood that this red tourism destination promotion will hold multiple large-scale “Tracing Red Memories · Red Journey” on-the-ground events. Each event is divided into five chapters: Travel, Memory, Outlook, Gratitude, and Discovery. Through live interviews, it traces history, tells revolutionary red-themed stories, dialogues with government leaders from various regions, examines the present and future of red tourism destinations from a developmental perspective, and promotes cities and attractions from a tourism viewpoint. The events will adopt the form of a grand epic drama, utilizing popular forms such as music, dance, drama, situational performances, and multimedia to attract widespread public attention. The event plans to promote two red tourism destinations per month, extending a red invitation to audiences nationwide and recommending multiple local red tourism feature routes. The event will also release authoritative red tourism data and select and publish 10 premium red tourism routes and 20 red tourism poverty alleviation feature routes.
(Speech by Mr. Zheng Jiaqiang, CEO of China.com.cn)
As one of the organizers of the event, Mr. Zheng Jiaqiang, CEO of China.com.cn, mentioned in his speech that participants in the “Red Journey · Shining China” event should recognize the greatness of the “Red Journey” and strive to convey that greatness. Red tourism destinations are places full of stories, and participants should endeavor to tell these stories well, allowing vivid characters and plots to form a magnetic field that attracts more and more new and returning visitors. The “Red Journey” should also shoulder the responsibility of cultivating the courage and compassion of the younger generation, ensuring that the moving and heartfelt stories from red tourism destinations are conveyed through media platforms like China.com.cn, which also embody courage and compassion, ultimately influencing a broad audience, especially the youth. Lastly, the “Red Journey” should leverage the interactivity of internet platforms, enabling heroes and greatness to interact across time, between online and offline spaces, and among different groups of people.
He stated that China.com.cn’s participation in this event serves multiple purposes: first, to fully utilize the promotional power of new internet media to raise awareness, understanding, and participation in the event; second, to actively engage in the planning, organization, and implementation of the event, leveraging its years of accumulated experience in tourism, military, and cultural sectors to make the event more diverse, exciting, and attractive; and finally, to use the interactive nature of its internet media platform to enable netizens and tourists to interact both online and offline, and among different groups online, thereby truly bringing the event to life and making it “shine.”
