The Garmin VIRB 360 is a rugged, waterproof dual-lens action camera capable of shooting 5.7K/30fps video. Its four built-in microphones ensure clear audio from all directions. Whether you’re hurtling down rapids in a kayak or riding a mountain bike over rough terrain, the VIRB 360’s 4K spherical stabilization keeps every second of footage smooth and steady.
With the VIRB 360, users can capture and automatically stitch together 4K/30fps videos that can be easily uploaded to a smartphone for editing and sharing, allowing others to instantly enjoy your amazing footage. Using built-in GPS and other sensors, the VIRB 360 provides customizable G-Metrix data overlays that can be added to videos for exciting visual effects. Data such as speed, altitude, trajectory, distance, heart rate, power, air pressure, and G-force can all be displayed on the video, giving you full insight into your performance while watching the action.
“The VIRB 360 lets you relive every experience from different perspectives and share them with your friends,” said Dan Bartel, Garmin’s vice president of global sales. “Consumers no longer have to worry about missing the perfect shot. The VIRB 360’s user-friendly design ensures that even beginners can create expert-level videos.”
Garmin provides a free mobile app and desktop editing software for the VIRB 360, allowing users to edit, share, and add data to any video captured with the device—making it more convenient than other 360-degree cameras. With easy one-button controls, voice commands for start/stop and photo capture, and the ability to directly post “highlight moments” to social media via smartphone or tablet, the VIRB 360 lets you share your athletic prowess with the world.
The VIRB 360’s lithium battery can record up to one hour of video and can stitch footage from both lenses into a 360-degree, 15-megapixel panoramic video with stunning effects. The camera offers multiple shooting modes including single shot, burst mode, time-lapse, slow-motion, and timer, making it a versatile mini digital camera in addition to a video recorder. It also features a semi-transparent reflective screen visible in bright light, allowing users to check battery life, storage capacity, and current shooting mode. The VIRB 360 supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ANT+, and NFC (a short-range communication protocol developed by Android), enabling connectivity with smartphones and various sensors to capture richer, more useful data.
The VIRB 360 is compatible with leading VR (virtual reality) headsets and offers live playback via the free VIRB mobile app. It can also pair with Apple and Android devices, as well as its own handlebar mount and tripod. The camera uses a replaceable MicroSD card with a maximum expandable capacity of 128GB (sold separately).
The VIRB 360 is the latest addition to Garmin’s action camera lineup. Garmin is a global leader in portable navigation devices, manufacturing solutions for cars, motorcycles, trucks, and more.
