Sheepgrass(commonly known as alkali grass) is a perennial grass from the Poaceae family. This grassis highly nutritious, whether during its growth period or during storage after air-drying,maintains a lush green color, smooth texture, soft quality, sweet and pure aroma, and strong palatability. It is thebest feedfor herbivorous livestock such as horses, cattle, and sheep. Our company’s sheepgrass, analyzed by the Beijing Animal Husbandry Research Institute, has the following nutritional components:8.2% crude protein, 2.71% crude fat, 4.35% ash, 32.41% crude fiber, 42.83% nitrogen-free extract, 0.519% calcium, and 0.088% phosphorus.
Sheepgrassis alkali-resistant, cold-resistant, drought-resistant, and thrives well in cold and dry regions. It turns green early in spring and yellows late in autumn, providing a large quantity of green fodder over an extended period. It can adapt and grow in plains, hillsides, and sandy loam soils. Its distribution center in China is the Songnen Plain in the northeast and eastern Inner Mongolia.
