TransAsia Airways issues 'suspension of flights' statement, announces ticket refund information. Affected passengers will receive full refunds.

TransAsia Airways has unexpectedly suspended flights for one day starting tomorrow (22nd). The airline stated that it will hold an interim board meeting tomorrow and will explain the situation to the public after the meeting. TransAsia Airways expresses its deepest apologies to all passengers affected throughout the day tomorrow and has announced the ticket refund procedures.

The refund procedures are as follows:
I. For passengers whose outbound journeys have not yet begun, as well as those who have already used domestic outbound tickets: Starting today, refunds will be processed according to the following purchase methods, with full refunds expected within 45 days.
(1) Tickets purchased directly from TransAsia Airways:
1. Credit card payment: Please apply via the official website, and the refund will be issued to your credit card.
2. Cash payment: Please email tna@tna.com.tw to process the refund, and include the following information: ticket number, passenger name, contact phone number, financial institution and branch name, account holder name, and account number.
(2) Tickets purchased through a travel agency: Please contact your travel agency for assistance.

II. For international and cross-strait routes where the outbound journey has already been taken: TransAsia Airways will do its utmost to assist in arranging alternative flights with other airlines and will notify affected passengers. For passengers who cannot be rebooked, please process your return ticket refund according to your original purchase method.
