Friedrichshafen, Germany -- Reported by Nanjing Ningfei: For the global cycling industry, Eurobike remains a key platform that no industry player can afford to miss. With 42,590 trade visitors and 22,160 cycling fans on the final Bike Festival Day, attendees from 101 countries gathered by Lake Constance for the world’s largest bicycle trade fair. Here, visitors could explore the latest cycling gear from 1,400 exhibitors across 50 countries, witness premieres of the newest bike models, and learn about future services. “Eurobike 2017 was a great success in fostering business collaborations and technological exchange.”For many clients, this is their most important annual meeting and an excellent opportunity to engage directly with decision-makers from leading global brands.” said Klaus Wellmann, President of Messe Friedrichshafen, summarizing the 26th Eurobike.

The numerous new bike launches and cutting-edge technologies on display generated significant buzz. Not only in Germany, but also among professional dealers from many other countries, the innovations showcased across various fields at the expo were highly valued. Stefan Resinger, Project Manager of Eurobike, commented: “We are very satisfied with this year’s show, even though it experienced several rainy days following a sunny opening. The consistently high quality of trade visitors, combined with the event’s location in one of Europe’s top cycling markets, ensures that Eurobike 2017 continues to be a reliable platform for business and product showcasing.” This year, international visitors accounted for as much as 62% of the total attendance.

“E-bikes will become increasingly prominent”—a trend that became even more evident after four days of exploring the exhibition. Visitors moving through the halls could clearly sense that in the future, motors could be integrated into various types of bicycles, and Eurobike witnessed further refinements in e-bike technology. “At this year’s Eurobike, it became clear how significantly e-bikes contribute to the ‘renaissance of cycling.’ More and more people are showing strong interest in this intelligent, futuristic mode of transport. Fast, flexible, and sustainable—e-bikes deliver all of this. Eurobike provides the ideal platform to introduce this innovative technology to the public,” said Tamara Winograd, Marketing Director of Bosch eBike Systems.

Many industry experts believe that Eurobike offers an ideal and professional platform for the cycling sector. Volker Dohrmann, Brand Manager of bicycle manufacturer Stevens, summarized the event: “We are very satisfied with the quality of the show and the visitor flow. The number of trade visitors, dealers, and orders was highly satisfactory, even better than in previous years.
