The "Xiao Langjiu Love Discovery" 2017 Nanjing First Cycling Esports Challenge is an event jointly initiated by the Nanjing Cycling Association, the Xiao Langjiu Division of Sichuan Gulin Langjiu Sales Co., Ltd., Nanjing Jinhongxiang Industrial Co., Ltd., and Qingdao Magene Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., with special support and introduction from the Asia Bike Show. The event not only promotes public health and low-carbon travel but also actively implements the spirit of the National Fitness Program and the Nanjing Public Fitness Implementation Plan issued by the General Administration of Sport of China. It also fully showcases scientific, systematic, and healthy cycling methods and concepts.
The Asia Bike Show originated from EUROBIKE, the world’s largest professional bicycle exhibition, and is organized by Nanjing Ningfei International Exhibition Co., Ltd. Positioned as a high-end event, it focuses on sports bikes, premium bikes, urban bikes, cycling apparel, and accessories, making it the first professional exhibition in China dedicated to the sports bike market. Since its first edition in 2011, it has been successfully held for six editions, each attracting significant attention and coverage from industry insiders, cycling enthusiasts, and the media.

Cycling esports is a brand-new form of bicycle competition where bicycles are fixed on special trainers, and riders simulate real routes through computer software. Originally, trainers were mainly used for daily training by professional cyclists. In recent years, as cycling has grown in popularity in China, trainers have also been adopted by cycling enthusiasts for regular training. The advantage of this equipment lies in its ability to simulate the gradients and resistance of real routes via computer, delivering the thrill of actual cycling. During the ride, cyclists can also monitor their own performance data and that of others on the same virtual route. On extremely hot, cold, rainy, or polluted days, using a trainer to complete set routes for exercise or training is the most common choice among cycling enthusiasts.
According to a representative from the event organizers, this is the first time such an event is being held in Nanjing. Through this competition, more consumers will learn about healthy and scientific ways to exercise. The organizers also hope to meet more partners in the sports industry at this global event and gradually promote cycling esports to the world, allowing more people to enjoy the fun of sports while staying fit.
