The "3rd World Hakka Youth Congress" was held on October 9th at the Studio City Ballroom, with an opening ceremony and welcome dinner. It was guided by the Youth Committee of the China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and the Guangdong Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, organized by the Macau Meizhou Xingning Association, and supported and co-organized by multiple institutions.

Attendees included Mr. Ho Hau Wah, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference; Mr. Tam Chon Weng, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture; Mr. Sun Da, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR; Mr. Yuan Hengge, Deputy Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in the Macao SAR; Mr. Cheng Xueyuan, Chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese; Mr. Tan Juntie, Secretary of the Meizhou Municipal Committee; Mr. Tsang Chi Ming, President of the World Hakka Youth Congress; Mr. He Qingbiao, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the 3rd World Hakka Youth Congress; Mr. Li Qiuping, Vice Chairman; Ms. Ye Xiangzhen, daughter of Marshal Ye Jianying; Mr. Wong Yuk Kong, Chairman of the David Group and Honorary President of the Hong Kong Hakka Federation; and Ms. Wang Ruixin, Vice Chairwoman and Executive Director of the David Group and Honorary President of the Hong Kong Hakka Federation.

Mr. Wong Yuk Kong stated that the Hakka people are inherently hardworking, tenacious, and courageous. Attending the event with his colleagues today allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of the customs and culture of the Hakka community.

Ms. Wang Ruixin served as an honorary advisor for this event. She said the event, themed "World Hakka Youth Gather in Macao, Hakka Bonds Along the Belt and Road," featured forums, calligraphy and painting exhibitions, and photo displays. Over a thousand outstanding Hakka individuals from Hong Kong, Macao, and various overseas countries and regions gathered in Macao to reconnect over shared heritage. With around 100,000 fellow Hakka people residing in Macao, holding the event there held special significance.

Though small in size, Macao boasts abundant tourism resources. The David Group welcomes everyone to visit Macao more often to experience this culturally diverse and vibrant city.
