When people think of Lijiang, they envision bustling ancient streets, the majestic Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and vibrant ethnic cultures. This city, built by the Naxi people along the Ancient Tea Horse Road, is simple, tranquil, and elegant — a dream destination for countless travelers. On December 6th, Lijiang welcomed a new opportunity for tourism industry development. Amid applause from industry leaders, partners, and media reporters, the first shared RV campsite in Yunnan Province by Huachen Special Vehicles — the Lijiang Rose Manor Campsite — was officially inaugurated. Zhang Ying, Financial Director of Huachen Automobile Investment (Dalian) Co., Ltd., Zhao Long, General Manager of Huameng Auto Leasing (Dalian) Co., Ltd., as well as distinguished guests from Dalian’s banking and insurance sectors, attended the ceremony.

As the top priority among the six key growth areas outlined in Huachen Automobile Group’s 13th Five-Year Plan, Huachen Special Vehicles represent a strategic initiative to optimize the product structure, transform and upgrade the business, and develop high-value-added products to support the group's own brands. The Huachen International (Dalian) Auto Industrial Park, invested and constructed by the group, integrates seven major functions: R&D, design, logistics, parts, marketing, auto finance, and manufacturing. It produces eight categories of high-end special vehicles. The RV division under the group has seen rapid development in recent years, targeting the mid-to-high-end domestic market. By combining independent research and development with technical cooperation, the division is actively building a diversified RV full-industry-chain development model, promoting the culture of premium RV living, and striving to become China’s leading brand in the RV industry.
With rapid economic growth, China’s self-drive tourism market has shown a strong upward trend. However, compared to surging consumer demand, the low-level business models have restricted market development. In October 2017, Huachen Shared RVs officially launched operations, integrating the sharing economy into the RV market. This allows consumers to enjoy a stylish and wonderful RV travel lifestyle at preferential prices, injecting new vitality and momentum into the development of the self-drive tourism industry. Yunnan Province, known as a prominent tourism hub with abundant industry resources and vast potential, is an important market for Huachen Special Vehicles’ layout in tourism transportation. To explore new business forms in self-drive tourism, Huachen Special Vehicles integrates the full-industry-chain services including shared RVs, campsite construction, route planning, and scenic areas, selecting high-quality campsites for collaboration. The Lijiang Rose Manor enjoys a superior location and beautiful scenery, situated close to famous attractions such as the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Lijiang Ancient Town. Huachen Special Vehicles has innovatively adopted the “manufacturing + campsite” model, deploying 15 1010 trailer RVs in the first phase to establish the Lijiang Rose Manor Shared RV Campsite. The campsite serves as a central hub in the region, gradually radiating outward in a demonstration and incubation model, and progressively integrating the three major sectors of tourism transportation, tourism auxiliary resources, and car rental services. This approach aims to achieve rapid transformation and upgrading in the development of the RV business.
Earlier in August this year, Huachen Special Vehicles partnered with companies including CTS Outlets and others to deploy Huameng commercial vehicles, self-propelled and trailer RVs across Yunnan Province. These efforts embody the concept of “integrated services,” actively promoting self-drive tours and RV rental services, and driving innovation and upgrades in RV tourism consumption models. Currently, through platform partnerships and the integration of industry chain resources, Huachen Special Vehicles has initiated shared RV operations and the development of micro-campsite systems in cities such as Kunming, Lijiang, Dali, and Xishuangbanna in Yunnan Province, marking a new chapter in the “sharing era” of RV tourism.
China’s tourism industry is entering a new era of all-for-one tourism and mass tourism. In line with the 13th Five-Year Plan for Yunnan Province’s tourism industry, Huachen Special Vehicles adheres to the business philosophy of “customer-centricity and market-orientation.” It is comprehensively developing networks for self-drive vehicles, RVs, and campsites, and creating a series of premium tourism route products. In the future, the company plans to deploy 10,000 tourism special vehicles across Yunnan Province in phases, enabling users to enjoy a dreamlike travel life amidst breathtaking landscapes. This will contribute to the development of tourism transportation in Yunnan and open up a new journey for the advancement of China’s RV industry.
