After PABLO announced its closure, Japanese cheesecakes such as Ampousse and Bake Cheese Tart remain available. Ampousse currently has two stores. Because it insists on hand-baking the tart shells and has limited production capacity, the brand is not planning to open new stores. Instead, it will appear in pop-up events nationwide to meet cheese cake enthusiasts. The first pop-up will take place at Zhongli’s Dajiang International Shopping Center from December 1 to January 15, 2017, allowing local residents to enjoy the deliciousness of cheesecakes.
Ampousse offers three temperatures and three textures, blending three different types of cheese—Hokkaido’s Takanashi cheese from Japan, President cheese from France, and Australian cheese—in perfect proportions. At room temperature, the texture is similar to cheesecake mousse; when chilled or frozen and slightly warmed, it resembles ice cream; and when microwaved or baked in an oven, the cheesy filling bursts with flavor.
