On December 24th, the "Peninsula Riding Treasure" balance bike open competition was held at the national-level tourism resort—Suzhou Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Tourism Resort, welcoming the most adorable version of "speed and passion" on Christmas Eve.

     

    This event drew on the strengths of well-established children's balance bike competitions, with meticulous preparation in aspects such as track design, competition format, procedures, venue setup, and participant experience, delivering an exciting, enjoyable, and comfortable sports event for the participating children and their parents. Over 100 adorable little riders signed up for the competition. Children aged 2–6 were the main participants. The event featured categories for 2-year-olds (Group A), 3–4-year-olds (Group B), and 5–6-year-olds (Group C). The young riders competed through preliminary rounds, repechage, semifinals, and finals, with champions, runners-up, and third-place winners announced in each of the three groups. Every child who completed the race received a finisher’s certificate and a commemorative medal, while the top three winners also received specially designed champion, runner-up, and third-place jerseys and trophies from the organizers. In addition, the event organizers prepared special Christmas gifts for all the little riders on-site, creating a joyful and heartwarming atmosphere.

     

    The competition site also featured warm holiday-themed activities: parent-child baking games and colorful cartoon activities, adding delightful surprises throughout the event and offering the young riders and their parents an unforgettable family-friendly carnival. Notably, Kong Wensheng, a star rider from the China Cycling League and a member of the Merida Challenger Team, was also invited to attend the event. In addition to interacting warmly with the young riders, he also signed autographs for his little fans, spreading warmth all around.

     

    The highlight of the event was the election of the "Prince and Princess of Peninsula Riding Treasure." Six candidate little riders were announced as finalists for the title of "Peninsula Riding Treasure Baby" at the competition site. The final winners of the Peninsula Riding Treasure Prince and Princess will be revealed on December 31st via the official WeChat account of Suzhou Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Tourism Resort. The winners will receive a substantial cash prize and will also be appointed as ambassadors for the "Peninsula Riding Treasure" Kids' Balance Bike Open Competition, adding to the magical Christmas surprises.

     

    After the event, one parent commented in an interview: "In recent years, this sport has become very popular in Europe and America. The venue was thoughtfully arranged, the track design was challenging, and the organizers showed great consideration for both children and parents, with many thoughtful details.
