Hidden in the alleys of Tainan,"Laid-Back Bar"offers a rare customization service. Just share your story or mood with the staff, and they’ll craft a unique cocktail tailored to you, allowing every customer to immerse themselves in their own little world.

The biggest feature of this bar is creating various types of cocktails based on the customer’s current mood, allowing people to seal away their good or bad moods and stories here, and finally greet a new day with a smile. Although ordering drinks based on mood is an option, there are still fixed items on the menu, which are updated irregularly by season, featuring craft beers and special shot drinks.

The owner said that since opening, they’ve encountered many unforgettable themes, such as "I Want to Fall in Love," "A Good Night’s Sleep," "My Girlfriend Is Gorgeous," and "My Ex Won’t Stop Bothering Me"—all very interesting.

"Rainbow Shot" and "French Christmas" are famous for their vibrant appearances. "Rainbow Shot" uses the principle of different densities, layering ingredients in the shaker to create a gradient effect, then pouring them into the glass in sequence, magically forming a tiny rainbow. "French Christmas" is inspired by a bartender trained under a master from Ideal Hotel in Hualien. After filling the glass with crushed ice, different colored ingredients are added, offering a similar visual treat.

Even the super-popular "Pokémon" makes an appearance. The business has developed four cocktails inspired by Pikachu, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, and Charmander, with high fidelity in both color schemes and characteristics. This series is seasonal, but fans can still enjoy these iconic monster-themed cocktails through customized orders.

Asked why they wanted to open a small bar, the owner, Mi Hua, shared that during college, their roommates often gathered in the living room to drink, sing, share stories, laugh, and cry together. They all enjoyed this bond, which became the prototype of the concept. The name "Laid-Back" comes from memories of military service, where superiors often criticized their lax attitude. Later, by reframing the term, they turned it into "unrestrained," hoping customers could also drink freely and share their lives here.

It welcomes all travelers, whether happy or sad, to temporarily leave their worries behind and immerse themselves in a heartwarming atmosphere.

The business is currently experimenting with a new product, "Cosmic Cocktail," which may offer customers even more choices in the future. Additionally, due to the popularity of "French Christmas," a "DIY Set" will be launched next month. With guidance from professional bartenders, everyone can try making their own version of French Christmas.
