Instagram hotspot alert: Red container fruit slushies in Tainan

I’ve seen this juice and slushie container on IG for ages but never got around to visiting. That noon, after a quick bowl of Train Ramen, I dashed over for a pit stop—only to end up so full I dozed off at work in the afternoon. It’s actually just a 2-minute bike ride from our office, but the closer a place is, the less likely I am to go. Why do we always hit the faraway spots first first XD?

Day Drink is located on Kangle Street, where its bright red container stands out. Next to it is Feng Lu Wei (Phoenix Spicy Snacks), also in a container—welcome to Tainan’s container street scene. Taichung has its container photo ops, and now Tainan does too~

The trendy container radiates that Southern Taiwan vibe, and there are seats nearby for a quick rest. Sip on a delicious slushie or smoothie—it’s also a great spot for a container-themed photoshoot with your girls. I find it pretty adorable and super photogenic. Friends visiting Tainan now have another cute spot for photos and snacks~ The whole setup has a bit of an American style.

Even the menu display box is adorable, giving off vintage American vibes.

They mainly serve slushies, smoothies, juices, and berry bowls—all made with fresh fruit as the main ingredient.

Slushie | “You’re So Berry” $109

This slushie is made with blueberries and yogurt, served in a pointy cup that looks super refreshing on a hot day. The drink has a gradient purple hue, and the first sip brings out the tangy sweetness of berries—not overly sweet, and quite tasty.

Berry Bowl | Eat the Fruit Straight $120

I just love this vibrant visual—topped with fresh fruits, with oats at the bottom and a purple layer of blueberries mixed with yogurt in the middle. Just like the name says, it’s all about eating the fruit directly. I heard this way of enjoying fruit is pretty popular abroad.

It tastes just as fruity and tangy, with even more fresh fruits on top. It’s cool, not too sweet, and quite refreshing—pretty decent overall. After finishing this, I felt pretty full.

It’d also make for a great IG post. Friends who love taking photos or enjoy juices and smoothies should definitely give it a try Up~ The Phoenix Spicy Snacks next door are pretty good too.
