Team Formation Performance Competition Rules
Entry Fee: 1000 RMB per team (includes competition insurance)
Special Note: The Team Formation Performance Competition is only open to alpine skiers and accepts offline registration only.
[Competition Requirements]
For the formation performance, each team must have no fewer than 4 participants. There are no restrictions on participants’ profession, gender, or age.
During the competition, each performance team will ski twice: the first run is a compulsory move — a single-file giant slalom performance (commonly known as “dragon sliding”); the second run is an “optional move,” featuring routines choreographed by each team.
[Scoring Components]
1. Personnel Score (10 points)
2. Skiing Technique Score:
A. Speed and Control (30 points)
B. Artistry of Formation Changes and Formation Maintenance (30 points)
C. Technical proficiency and performance of team members (30 points)
Note: Each team’s score is composed of the first run score + the first run score + the number-of-participants score. In case of tied scores, the sum of all judges’ scores from the first run will be used, with the higher total score ranking better.
[Scoring Method]
Participating teams will descend on the designated course as required by the event. Judges will score based on established criteria. After all judges have scored, the highest and lowest scores will be dropped, and the average of the remaining valid scores will be taken as the team’s score for that item.
[Scoring Criteria]
1. Number-of-participants score (base score 5 points, maximum 10 points, counted only once in the total score)
A. The number of participants must be between 4 and 20. The base score is for 4 people. For each additional participant, 0.5 points will be added, up to a maximum of 10 points.
B. Gender and age: For each female team member, or team member under 15 or over 55 years old, an additional 0.5 points will be given per person, up to a maximum of 10 points.
2. Speed
Speed is the soul of formation performances, and how fast the team moves is key to creating a dynamic show. Therefore, faster and more dynamic teams will receive higher scores. However, speed is not judged by timing, as doing so could encourage teams to excessively pursue speed, risking accidents. Thus, speed is judged entirely based on the visual and sensory assessment of the judges.
3. Scoring factors for formation changes and maintenance
Artistry and visual appeal of the formation design
The number, speed, and proficiency of transitions from one formation to another
Synchronization among all team members throughout the entire performance
Consistency in maintaining the distance between team members in terms of front-back spacing and left-right positioning during the performance
[Group Formation Performance Competition Prize Standards]
First place: 30,000 yuan (cash)
Second place: 20,000 yuan (cash)
Third place: 10,000 yuan (cash)
Note: The above prizes are pre-tax amounts.
