Supporting “National Fitness” and Safeguarding a Healthy China
The signing ceremony of the cooperation between Peking University’s Mountain Eagle Club and Yingzhi Aoti Sports Rehabilitation Clinic was held in Beijing.
At the recently concluded National People’s Congress and Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference sessions, promoting the implementation of national fitness and carrying out the Healthy China strategy once again became hot topics among the delegates. In recent years, sports such as marathons, running, yoga, and fitness have attracted an increasing number of participants, and people have gained more sense of involvement, achievement, and happiness through exercising. However, as the number of people engaging in sports increases, the risk of sports injuries is gradually rising, making scientific and effective sports rehabilitation imperative.
On March 24, the signing ceremony of the cooperation between Peking University’s Mountain Eagle Club and Yingzhi Aoti Sports Rehabilitation Clinic was held at the Bird’s Nest Cultural Center in Beijing’s National Stadium. It is understood that this year, Peking University’s Mountain Eagle Club will carry out a series of major peak climbing activities, including scaling Mount Everest. The focus of this cooperation is to provide comprehensive sports injury assessments and systematic treatments for the club members, offering strong support for the mountaineering team in conquering the world’s highest peak. At the ceremony, Guo Xianfeng, medical advisor of Yingzhi Aoti Sports Rehabilitation Clinic and director of the Department of Physical Rehabilitation at Beijing Jishuitan Hospital, said that the difference between sports rehabilitation and general rehabilitation is that general rehabilitation aims to help people return to normal daily life, whereas sports rehabilitation emphasizes helping the treated individuals regain normal athletic life—this is no longer a privilege reserved only for athletes.
