What comes to mind when you think of a bakery? These three popular bakeries in Kaohsiung give off an unmistakably European vibe. Not only are their interiors stylish and charming, but the freshly baked bread, carefully crafted by skilled bakers and taken from the oven to the shelf, fills the air with mouthwatering aromas that are simply irresistible — a must-try for any bread lover.

Locals in Kaohsiung are certainly no strangers to this bakery. Beautiful photos posted by loyal customers on IG have become its best advertisement. The refreshing interior, combined with the building’s heritage renovation, gives it plenty of character. From the shop decor to the commitment to flavor, it's clear that the owner puts in great care — and that's the secret to why it stays busy despite being tucked away in a quiet alley. For residents of Gangshan, popping into Little Flower Bakery on an ordinary day has become a local lifestyle choice.

LePain insists on using only natural ingredients for all its products — no artificial flavors, emulsifiers, improvers, or coloring agents. In the wake of food safety concerns, such conscientious baking practices have kept these slightly pricier loaves flying off the shelves. The signature item at Paris Bobo is the naturally leavened Italian fruit bread, which has won over countless customers with its rich flavor. Additionally, the shop’s “Crescent Croissant” won the 2016 World Bread Taiwan Championship, with a limited batch baked fresh daily at 3:00 PM. If you want to taste the champion, be sure to come early for a chance to grab one.
