ISPO SHANGHAI | Water Sports Industry Forum: Gathering of Multi-Category Industry Formats

Since 2013, ISPO has been focusing on the development of the water sports category. ISPO Shanghai 2015 officially launched the water sports segment as an important category for exhibition, creating China’s first high-end, influential water sports exhibition area. It included a “Water Sports Brands Zone” and a “200+ square meter large water product testing pool,” making it a successful industry event.

ISPO Shanghai 2017 Water Sports Experience Zone

The ISPO Shanghai 2018 water sports exhibition area covered paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, surfing, fishing, and related water equipment products. It brought together domestic and international water sports brands, attracted water sports enthusiasts, and integrated with multiple outdoor categories to spark new ideas and initiate a new lifestyle of sports. Overseas guests from the water sports industry were invited to share insights on the current state and trends of water sports development, and the Water Sports Industry Forum was relaunched to deeply explore the commercial value of China's water sports industry.

Development of different forms of sports under the broad concept of water sports

ISPO Shanghai will continue to uphold the goals of sharing industry experience, interpreting industry information, and discussing industry development trends. It invites water sports experts, industry leaders, and professional institutions to jointly advance the development of water sports.

ISPO has long hoped to achieve multi-category development in water sports through discussions and sharing with professionals and practitioners in various water-related fields. This year’s ISPO Water Sports Industry Forum will invite experienced professionals from surfing, sailing, diving, and water parks, in addition to the traditional kayaking and paddleboarding segments, to share insights on the development of underwater, surface, and above-water sports under the “broad water sports” concept.
