To support students embarking on their upcoming study trips to the UK, Virgin Atlantic has introduced a five-part student ticket promotion for flights between Shanghai and London, Edinburgh, and Aberdeen, offering international students a more comfortable, thoughtful, and high-quality flying experience.
First Benefit: One Additional Free Checked Baggage in Economy Class
Considering the special need for extra luggage when studying abroad, Virgin Atlantic offers students an exclusive “privilege” of one more checked baggage than standard tickets. Students who purchase student tickets can check in two pieces of luggage for free, with each piece weighing up to 23 kg, eliminating any pre-travel baggage worries.
Second Benefit: No Change or Refund Fees More Than 7 Days Before Departure
In the past, students often had to bear extra ticket change or refund fees due to visa issues or uncertain exam schedules. Virgin Atlantic provides a considerate policy where students can change or cancel their flight without fees (worth ¥1,200 for changes and ¥1,500 for refunds) if done more than 7 days (excluding 7 days) before departure—making travel worry-free and flexible.
Third Benefit: Free Seat Selection Upon Booking
With Virgin Atlantic, passengers who book student tickets can enjoy free advance seat selection. Whether you prefer an aisle or window seat, or want to sit next to your travel companion, this thoughtful free service adds extra comfort to your long-haul journey.
Fourth Benefit: Full Refund Available for Visa Rejection
After booking a Virgin Atlantic student ticket, if your travel plans change due to visa rejection, students can apply for a full refund and check the refund status anytime on the Virgin Atlantic official website.
Fifth Benefit: Free £14.99 In-Flight Wi-Fi Voucher with Ticket Purchase
Virgin Atlantic flights between Shanghai and London offer high-speed Wi-Fi, and all economy class seats come with a USB charging port, allowing you to work or relax with peace of mind during your trip. From June 25 to July 8, purchasing a Virgin Atlantic student ticket comes with a free £14.99 (approximately ¥130) in-flight Wi-Fi voucher, ensuring students stay connected at all times.
Order your Virgin Atlantic student ticket now through the Virgin Atlantic booking center or authorized agents to enjoy all five benefits. Virgin Atlantic helps you succeed on your journey to study in the UK.
