When it comes to outdoor power supplies, many may not be very familiar with them. What’s the difference between this and the commonly known power banks? What’s the charm of this brand that emerged to meet the demand for outdoor power? Zhang Weihua, the sales director nicknamed “DX Power,” explained it to us.
The demand for outdoor power is the key to DX Power’s brand transformation
DX Power was one of the earliest brands globally to make power banks. Later, they noticed more people were going outdoors, creating a growing demand for high-power, high-capacity equipment. Extensive customer research led DX Power to deeply explore the needs of outdoor users, prompting them to develop an outdoor power supply to solve the pain point of lacking high-power, high-capacity power support outdoors. This led to DX Power’s transformation, focusing on the field of outdoor power supplies.
“More and more people are heading outdoors, and the outdoors has gradually become a way of life. It’s no longer out of reach but has become part of everyone’s entertainment needs. Whether it's outdoor drones, outdoor projectors, or road-trip camping, the demand for high-power, high-capacity outdoor power is becoming increasingly urgent,” said Director Zhang.
Leveraging strengths and addressing weaknesses—New energy market is the future focus
In the vast outdoor market, DX Power will continue to innovate in line with national policies, focusing on the secondary use of electric vehicle batteries, which can significantly reduce the cost of outdoor power supplies and bring tangible benefits to consumers.
Safe and practical—DX Power’s advantages compared to peers
When talking about how it differs from other energy brands, Director Zhang used three keywords: safe, convenient, and practical.
Safety: DX Power uses lithium-ion power cells of the same grade as Tesla, paired with a powerful power management system. In outdoor life, safety is definitely the top priority.
Convenience: Take the DX Power 400, for example. Its weight of 5.6 kilograms is no coincidence—it’s precisely the physical weight an adult male can easily carry for a kilometer. From the car to the campsite, carrying the DX Power 400 can easily meet your outdoor power needs for days.
Practicality: DX Power’s portable solar panels use imported overseas brands, with a conversion rate as high as 23.5%. Compared to domestic solar panels, which generally achieve only 17% conversion rates, DX Power’s products have highly practical features. If you use the optional 100W solar panel to charge the DX Power 400, it can be fully charged in 6–8 hours (depending on sunlight intensity).
DX Power’s outdoor journey
Currently, the online store collaborates with Tmall and community malls, and will soon discuss cooperation with JD.com. Offline, DX Power will deepen partnerships with outdoor stores and trading companies.
“The entire outdoor market is filled with clothing and various equipment. When we developed our product in 2014, the concept of outdoor power supplies didn’t exist in the market. Even now, the DX Power outdoor power supply is still a new category in the outdoor market. We can say we’re newcomers to the outdoors, and we hope for your guidance,” Director Zhang said humbly.
DX Power, with its strong manufacturing partners—even Tesla and Samsung are their clients—but as a new outdoor product, DX Power wants more to build awareness of the new outdoor power supply category. Director Zhang mentioned that domestic manufacturers don’t really have a clear definition for outdoor power supplies; they call them: portable UPS, small UPS, large power banks...
After collecting data, DX Power named this new category “outdoor power supply.”
All new products need awareness, and DX Power hopes to win everyone’s favor with this exhibition. They want outdoor enthusiasts to know that there’s now a professional brand dedicated to developing and selling outdoor power supply products.
