Shanghai MR.KUMA Snow Park officially opened on July 26, 2018. The opening ceremony was attended by many distinguished guests, including Chairman Mr. Wang Cuinan, General Manager Ms. Lin Peifen, and members of the media. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was also unique: guests operated cool bear characters riding skateboards as they slid down a slope. Once all the bears reached the finish line, the curtain unveiling the MR.KUMA Snow Park sign was slowly drawn. Covering an area of 2,000 square meters, the park features a two-story ski slope, 3D bare-eye light shows, snowfall shows, KumaDance, and more. As stated in the report submitted to the International Olympic Committee by Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, President of the People’s Republic of China, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, regarding Beijing’s bid for the Winter Olympics, China aims to achieve “300 million people participating in ice and snow sports” following the successful bid. And in Shanghai—a city that sees little snow in winter—we hope the arrival of Snow Park will ignite children’s dreams of ice and snow.

MR.KUMA is an indoor snow-themed comprehensive entertainment and interactive brand, currently operating five self-owned stores in Shanghai (China), Bangkok (Thailand), Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), Tokyo (Japan), and Osaka (Japan). MR.KUMA pioneered lightweight snow play globally, combining bare-eye 3D snow scene interactions, trendy casual dining, and cultural creative merchandise to create a globally influential super IP for snow-themed experiential interaction.
This summer, MR.KUMA will also bring consumers even fresher and more diverse snow experiences. Chairman Wang Cuinan said: “At MR.KUMA Snow Park, you can enjoy a variety of snow-related entertainment activities. Whether or not you have previous snow play experience, you can have fun here. Even for those who are new to snow play, our slopes are not very steep, so you can still enjoy a different kind of snow fun. For example, we’re about to launch a team-based activity called snowball battle, where a combat instructor will lead everyone in an actual snowball fight.”

During the subsequent experience activities, the children’s expectations and imaginations about snow were fully fulfilled at the Snow Park. In addition to sledding down the slopes, many kids were especially excited about building snowmen and having snowball fights. Parents commented that seeing their children so thrilled made the experience truly wonderful.
Finally, Chairman Wang Cuinan shared that children of all ages are welcome at MR.KUMA Snow Park. Snow activities are suitable for all age groups. Older children can enjoy sledding with the help and guidance of staff, while younger ones can explore a different kind of snowy summer experience alongside their parents.
