To encourage 300 million people to participate in ice and snow sports, the first domestic ski resort investors' networking event, jointly initiated by over 30 domestic ski resorts and co-hosted by seven ski resorts, was held on August 28–29, 2018, at the Yanqi Lake International Convention and Exhibition Center in Beijing.

The theme of this networking event was "Getting Acquainted, Sharing, and Achieving Win-Win." With the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics drawing near, enthusiasm for participating in ice and snow sports has reached an all-time high, with a large number of people taking up skiing. The core topics of discussion at this investors' networking event were how to seize the opportunity of the Winter Olympics, support the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, and reduce the high upfront investment and operational costs of ski resorts.
The meeting was chaired by Du Gang and An Yachen, heads of the organizing committee of the ski resort investors' networking event. Chen Huanzhang, founder of the event’s host, Huabei Ski Resort, delivered the opening remarks.
The first day's session was a closed-door seminar on China's ski industry. Tian Younian, former secretary-general of the Chinese Ski Association, shared insights on the processes and rules for organizing international and domestic ski competitions.
The networking event lasted two days. Investors from ski resorts across the country engaged in in-depth discussions on investment experiences, challenges faced by small and medium-sized ski resorts, and potential solutions. The event also included a special on-site visit and exchange for attendees to explore the summer projects of Huabei International Ski Resort.
