On September 4th, the 2nd Jinhai Lake · World Congress on Anti-Aging was grandly held at the 121 Longevity Town in Beijing’s Jinhai Lake. The event was hosted by the National Health and Family Planning Commission’s Floating Population Service Center, supported by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, organized by the World Society for Anti-Aging Biomedical Sciences, and co-organized by Shanshui Wenyuan Group, Xingen Capital, and the China Anti-Aging Promotion Association. People’s Daily’s Health Times served as the chief media partner, providing full coverage of the forum. Leaders and guests including Xiao Zihua, Director of the National Health and Family Planning Commission’s Floating Population Service Center, Song Jingwu, Vice President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Li Zhe, Chairman of the Board of Shanshui Wenyuan Group, and several co-chairs of the World Society for Anti-Aging Biomedical Sciences, were invited to attend.
The forum aimed to promote international exchange and cooperation in the field of anti-aging within the scope of biomedical science, and to assess the development of the world’s most cutting-edge anti-aging health industries. Gathering top global anti-aging experts such as 2013 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, Distinguished Professor Arieh Warshel from the University of Southern California’s Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, James Kirkland, Director of the Mayo Clinic’s Kogod Center on Aging, Bernd Kleine-Gunk, President of the German Society for Preventive and Anti-Aging Medicine, and Professor Shai Efrati, Dean of the USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology, along with over 500 authoritative experts and scholars in hot fields like anti-aging, life sciences, and stem cell research, as well as industry practitioners, the event was a major gathering.

The 2nd Jinhai Lake · World Congress on Anti-Aging Held Grandly
Focusing on Anti-Aging Topics, Building an International Exchange Platform
In 2017, the successful hosting of the first forum established the Jinhai Lake · World Congress on Anti-Aging as a leading voice in the global anti-aging field. Building on this foundation, the 2nd Jinhai Lake · World Congress on Anti-Aging, themed “Let Health Bloom with Vitality,” conducted summit dialogues on current topics such as stem cell research, the mysteries of aging, nutritional health, the collision of Eastern and Western medical inspirations, and wellness communities. It stirred medical wisdom, shared global health concepts, and built an international health think tank.
Xiao Zihua, Director of the National Health and Family Planning Commission’s Floating Population Service Center, stated: “To advance the development of China’s anti-aging cause, we need to grasp the overall trend, make full use of the favorable opportunities for promoting anti-aging, innovate and collaborate to accelerate the integration of anti-aging technologies, and strengthen platform construction to foster international exchanges and cooperation. The successful hosting of the 2nd Jinhai Lake · World Congress on Anti-Aging has promoted the integration of global anti-aging concepts and cutting-edge biotechnologies, playing a positive role in advancing China’s anti-aging development, improving health services for the floating population, and propelling the Healthy China initiative forward.”

As the host, Li Zhe, Co-Chair of the World Society for Anti-Aging Biomedical Sciences and Chairman of the Board of Shanshui Wenyuan Group, said in his opening remarks: “Longevity is an ancient and eternal topic. The irreversible degenerative changes in human organs and their functions have made research on ‘combating aging’ and even ‘curing death’ a focal point of medical attention. Translating anti-aging research outcomes into products is a common goal for the industry’s future. Establishing an international exchange and cooperation platform will provide strong support for the global integration and sharing of resources in the anti-aging field.”

Exploring the Roots of Aging, Nobel Laureates Share Cutting-Edge Anti-Aging Technologies
With advancements in medical standards and increasing life expectancy, anti-aging has become a topic of interest for nearly everyone and a new research direction for scientists.
In his keynote speech, 2013 Nobel Laureate Arieh Warshel shared how computer modeling can be used to study anti-aging issues, explaining in detail through a case study involving enzyme modeling and structural analysis. He stated, “We have a strategy called multi-scale modeling in biology, using this model to build an anti-aging system. We expand from known areas to unknown ones, then study unknown mutations to aid anti-aging research.”

Two co-chairs of the World Society for Anti-Aging Biomedical Sciences, James Kirkland and Josef Taccola, elaborated on the mysteries of aging from the perspectives of “clearing senescent cells in the body” and “DNA sequencing technology,” respectively. Their content was rich and detailed, their language witty and humorous, pushing the summit to another climax. Meanwhile, “the father of European stem cells,” Professor Jürgen Hescheler from the University of Cologne in Germany, and Professor Karl-Heinz Krause from Geneva University Hospitals, shared the latest stem cell research technologies. Additionally, Bernd Kleine-Gunk, President of the German Society for Preventive and Anti-Aging Medicine, delivered a speech on the “interesting principle of hormesis,” proposing the revolutionary theory that “substances harmful to our health can also help us live longer,” becoming another highlight of the conference.
Implementing Anti-Aging Projects, Promoting Health Industry Development
In recent years, “health” has become a hot topic, and the big health industry is emerging as a new growth point for China’s economy. This forum featured milestone academic report exchanges on the global anti-aging health industry. High-level discussions, dialogues, and exchanges were held on aspects such as the technological development, industrialization strategies, and service models related to aging and anti-aging, providing a high-end platform for communication and cooperation in China’s anti-aging and health industries. Academia drives the industry, and the industry revitalizes the economy.
Notably, the hosting venue of this forum, Beijing’s 121 Longevity Town in Jinhai Lake, is the permanent site established by the first World Congress on Anti-Aging. By integrating global anti-aging resources and connecting advanced international health and anti-aging technologies, the town customizes personalized health management plans for consumers, forming a comprehensive health and anti-aging management platform encompassing “prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and elderly care.”
During the forum, the 121 Longevity Town in Jinhai Lake officially announced the opening of the “Five-Channel Natural Therapy Center,” jointly developed with Germany’s Haslauer brand, which boasts over 50 years of SPA management experience. Following the “Maya International Anti-Aging Center,” this is another anti-aging project launched by the 121 Longevity Town in Jinhai Lake. It blends European naturopathic concepts with traditional Eastern medicine, combining health and wellness treatments with European medical spas to pioneer a new anti-aging model.
