Dare to Explore, Return Safely

Founded in 2015, Hyulore Technology offers outdoor communication equipment that provides Beidou satellite positioning, route tracking, and location sharing even in areas without cellular signals, making it one of the most widely used outdoor devices among hikers. "Life Online" is a consumer-facing product that can be accessed directly through the Hyulore mobile app.

Renowned mountaineer Xia Boyu, the brand ambassador for Hyulore, lost both his legs and summited Mount Everest for the fifth time this year, finally reaching the top. It is reported that his last attempt was in 2016 when he had to turn back just 94 meters from the summit due to a sudden snowstorm. Without that retreat, this success wouldn’t have been possible. At the "Life Online" launch, he said that while reaching the summit is important, returning safely is what truly matters.

"Dare to explore, return safely" has always been Hyulore’s guiding principle. The company focuses on providing comprehensive outdoor safety assurance services including hardware, software, and expert support. CEO Yan Zhiwei stated that while Hyulore encourages people to explore nature and themselves, it also emphasizes the belief in returning safely — to oneself, one’s family, and society. "Life Online is no longer limited to professional outdoor enthusiasts; it allows ordinary people to access Beidou satellite positioning, helicopter rescue, and accidental insurance claims at an affordable price."

Guangzhou Shouzheng Equity Investment Fund Management Co., Ltd.is an investor in Guangzhou Hyulore. ItsChairman Huang Pan said the decision to invest in Hyulore was based on the company’s firm commitment to protecting life and its relentless pursuit of outdoor safety.

A Safety Product Needed by Every Ordinary Outdoor Traveler

Many people assume that outdoor tourism accidents mostly happen in snowy mountains, deserts, or other remote, uninhabited areas, and that casual weekend hikes in the suburbs or holiday trips to famous mountains and rivers are generally safe.

However, the reality is different.

The "2016 Mainland China Mountaineering and Outdoor Sports Accident Report" released by the Chinese Mountaineering Association shows that accidents are more likely to occur during evening hours, on the descent, on sunny days, and during activities without clear responsibility. Getting lost is the leading cause of incidents. This highlights that outdoor safety depends more on whether travelers are well-prepared, experienced, and organized, while the harshness of the environment becomes a secondary factor.

As the economic conditions of Chinese citizens continue to improve, outdoor tourism is becoming increasingly popular. Statistics show that China’s outdoor population has reached 130 million, with over 30,000 informal adventure tourism clubs and registered enterprises. However, compared to developed countries in Europe and America, Chinese outdoor tourists often lack experience, and the emergency rescue system is far from comprehensive.

Hyulore, which enjoys high recognition in the professional hiking community, has a deep understanding of the current state of emergency rescue in China. "Life Online" addresses existing gaps in rescue coordination, efficiency, and costs.

This is a systematic product jointly provided by multiple partners. Hyulore mainly offers the app service and rescue coordination platform; Golden Hawk General Aviation is one of China’s largest private helicopter rescue companies; BAUYOU Insurance Network is a professional travel insurance service platform in China; and TD Microelectronics Technology specializes in satellite navigation chip development, representing one of China’s "core chips."

According to Xu Yanfeng, co-founder of Hyulore, after purchasingthe "Life Online" safety assurance product, userswho encounter emergenciescansend distress signals via theHyulore app to the"Hyulore Joint Rescue Platform"and their pre-set emergency contacts.Send a distress signal,It includes essential information such as accurate latitude and longitude, altitude, maps, reasons for the distress call, and the current situation. Once confirmed, the distress message will prompt Heloto immediately activate local rescue coordinators,,swiftly determine a rescue plan, contact the nearest rescue team, police station, and hospital to provide assistance, and can also arrange helicopter rescue for the person in need.

Additionally, unlike most insurance products on the market that offer post-event compensation, “Life Online”organically combinesinstant rescue serviceswith insurance coverage,,ensuring that rescue efforts are not delayed due to cost negotiations, thereby greatly improving rescue efficiency. The insurance-based model also enables ordinary people to access otherwise expensive services such as helicopter rescue.

Rescue coordinators have been deployed across mainland China.

Ordinary people engaging in outdoor travel require more professional rescue services, and “Life Online” was created to fill this gap. Behind “Life Online”isa team composed of professional outdoor travel enthusiasts. It is reported that Helo rescue coordinators now cover all of mainland China, and Xia Boyu is one of them.

In addition, Wang Tiannan, the first Chinese person to summit Bogda Peak and an experienced outdoor emergency rescuer, Mo Yan, an International Wilderness Medical Associates Wilderness First Responder, Ma Jun, captain of the Tibet Manfeng Rescue Team under the One Foundation Rescue Alliance, and Hu Bin, chairman of the Zunyi Mountaineering Association—among other seasoned outdoor sports experts—responded promptly to join Helo as rescue coordinators. Not only do they possess extensive outdoor experience, but they also maintain broad connections with rescue teams, public security departments, and hospitals across the country, enabling them to mobilize the most effective resources in the shortest time possible.

It is understood that IRIM Helo has partnered with TaiDou Microelectronics Technology to independently develop satellite communication products such as satellite positioning, satellite phones, and satellite networks by integrating various satellite communication and positioning systems including China’s BeiDou, the U.S. GPS, TianTong, and the Iridium satellite system. Products such as “Marine Treasure” and “Outdoor Treasure” have long been favored by sailors, outdoor enthusiasts, and rescue teams.

From hardware to software, and from software to human-centered services, Helo is committed to making outdoor travel safer, providing users with outdoor safety assurance services that ensure “never losing connection and delivering precise rescue.”
