Stroll through pure white churches, ride in horse-drawn carriages – China Airlines’ 2017 Dawn Flight goes on sale Dec. 1 with ultra-romantic packages

China Airlines is launching its “Dawn Flight” again in 2017, with this year’s theme titled “2017 Love You Together,” offering an exceptionally romantic itinerary. On New Year’s Day morning, passengers will first take Flight CI 2017 to the east coast to welcome Taiwan’s first rays of dawn from high altitude, then fly to Hong Kong for a 2-day, 1-night stay in the European-style Discovery Bay. The trip includes a pure white church and a seaside love lock corridor, and the hotel also provides horse-drawn carriage rides. With only 158 seats available on this charter flight, tickets go on sale at 8:00 AM on December 1.

Since 2015, China Airlines’ “Happy Dawn Flight” has received an enthusiastic response from travelers, and this year marks its third edition with the launch of the “2017 Love You Together” Dawn Flight. China Airlines stated that this year’s chartered dawn flight is jointly planned with the Hong Kong Tourism Board. After watching the first dawn of the new year from high altitude, passengers will fly to Hong Kong for a romantic two-day, one-night experience. The Hong Kong Tourism Board is sponsoring and providing a “Hong Kong Helicopter Tour” as a prize draw for passengers on the dawn flight, offering a helicopter experience worth NT$40,000 that allows passengers to enjoy bird’s-eye views of Hong Kong Island’s coastline, the bustling Victoria Harbour, and the beautiful scenery of Hong Kong Island’s southern district.

The Hong Kong Tourism Board mentioned that this time they have specially designed a unique Hong Kong travel itinerary for China Airlines, promoting Discovery Bay – a hidden gem beloved by locals – allowing travelers to enjoy a European-style, leisurely, and romantic atmosphere, which will surely offer them a different experience of Hong Kong.

The Dawn Flight will use a Boeing 737-800 aircraft. On January 1, 2017, it will depart from Taoyuan Airport at 05:20, arriving at 30,000 feet over Yilan at 05:45. It will then fly southward along the coastline, expected to be the first in Taiwan to greet the earliest and highest sunrise over the sea off Qiji in Hualien at 06:12. The flight is scheduled to arrive in Hong Kong at 08:15, where passengers will first head to the Discovery Bay Hotel for a premium buffet breakfast-lunch.

The Discovery Bay Hotel features Hong Kong’s only white church, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering sweeping sea views. The hotel also provides a charming horse-drawn carriage, making it an ideal spot for couples to date or take photos. China Airlines will specially arrange professional photographers to take pictures of passengers at iconic spots such as the pure white church and the seaside love lock corridor in Discovery Bay, creating the most romantic memories for all travelers. The itinerary also includes a meal at Seafood Room in the heart of Hong Kong’s Causeway Bay, one of the city’s largest upscale seafood restaurants, featuring elegant dining areas and an open-air bar with full harbor views.

China Airlines’ “2017 Love You Together Dawn Flight” offers various package combinations. The economy class single ticket is priced at NT$25,700, the double ticket starts at NT$42,600, and the triple ticket at NT$62,800 (all prices include taxes). With only 158 seats available, sales are limited.

4. Purchase process:
(1) Inform customer service of the number of travelers, preferred package option, room type, and return flight.

(3) After confirming the selected package, total cost, and credit card information, customer service will assist with seat selection and complete the booking.
(4) China Airlines Travel Services will subsequently process the credit card payment and send a confirmation SMS and email to the traveler.
