Rafting
1. The rafting season is from April to October each year;
2. When setting off, it’s best to bring a set of clean clothes to change into after getting off the boat, and it’s also advisable to carry a pair of plastic slippers to wear on the boat;
3. Do not bring cash or valuables on the raft. In the event of capsizing or other accidents, the rafting company and insurance will not compensate for lost cash or belongings. If you feel it’s a rare opportunity and must bring a camera, it’s best to use an inexpensive point-and-shoot camera, wrap it in a plastic bag beforehand, open it on calm sections, and rewrap it on rapids. Also be mentally prepared for the possibility of it falling into the water.
4. The first thing to do upon boarding is to carefully read the rafting instructions, follow the staff’s arrangements, put on your life jacket, and locate the safety rope.
5. If participating in rafting when temperatures are not high, you can purchase a raincoat at the rafting departure point.
6. When the raft passes through rapids, follow the staff’s directions, avoid unnecessary movements, grip the safety rope tightly, keep your feet close together, and lean your body toward the center of the raft.
7. In case of capsizing, there’s no need to panic—stay calm because you’re wearing a life jacket.
8. Do not get off the raft to swim at will. Even if you choose to swim, do so only in calm waters and as advised by the boatman, and never venture far from the raft alone.
